EXHIBITOR INFO – NEW IN 2015

Blenheim EquiSports is Excited to Welcome the 2015 WCE Medal Final to Las Vegas!

The CPHA Foundation’s renowned WCE Medal Final is heading to Vegas this November! Blenheim EquiSports was officially awarded the opportunity to host the esteemed year-end event at the 2015 Las Vegas National Horse Show, November 10-15, 2015. – click here for details…

Blenheim EquiSports to Host Children’s and Adult Amateur Jumper West Regional Finals
Unique Nations’ Cup Style Competition September 9-13

Blenheim EquiSports is pleased to announce that the Children’s and Adult Amateur Jumper West Regional Championships will be at the Blenheim Fall Tournament September 9-13 in San Juan Capistrano.

Adult Amateur and Children’s Jumper riders had long hoped for their own championship, and in 2013, the USHJA turned their hopes into reality by initiating the Regional Championships. Since its debut, the series has enjoyed huge success. Held in a Nations’ Cup-style format, the team competition offers a unique introduction to the team experience. Comprised of four rounds held over three days, the riders compete as teams with individual scores counting toward the overall team score. A team consists of a minimum of three horse and rider combinations, but not more than four. The team element, new for many of the riders, has been challenging and exciting, and very popular.

The Championships consist of both team and individual competitions, and each of the West Region’s four zones is eligible to send a minimum of two teams of Children’s competitors and two teams of Adult Amateur competitors. In 2014, nearly 140 of the country’s top Children’s and Adult Amateur riders competed for individual and team medals in the Regional Championships. Each of the 2014 Children’s Jumper Individual Champions garnered a spot in the Emerging Athletes Program Regional Training Session this coming summer. Again this year the individual gold medalists in the Children’s section will earn a coveted spot in a 2016 EAP Regional Training Session.

Riders may accumulate points at any USEF licensed event offering Children’s and Adult Jumper classes at 1.10m – 1.15m, but may not compete in any jumper class over 1.20m during the qualifying period. For each Regional Championship, the qualifying period will begin the day following the conclusion of the Regional Championship and end 45 days prior to the first day of the Regional Championship the following year, which will be around July 30th this year.

More class details available in the prize list.

EXHIBITOR INFO – 2015 BIOSECURITY REQUIREMENTS

2015 Equine Health and Biosecurity Requirements

Blenheim EquiSports is dedicated to the health, welfare and safety of all exhibitors both equine and human. To protect our equine partners, we will be requiring the following protocols at the Blenheim EquiSports Horse Shows held at the Rancho Mission Viejo Riding Park (San Juan Capistrano), the Del Mar Horsepark (Del Mar) and the Southpoint Hotel & Casino (Las Vegas).

All horses stabling on the show grounds must arrive between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. If it is necessary to arrive at any other time you must contact the show office prior and check in with night security.

MANDATORY
A certificate of vaccination (DOWNLOAD AND PRINT THE FORM HERE) for each entered horse must be filed with the horse show office prior to issuance of show number.

• Received regular and consistent vaccination against Equine Influenza and EHV 1 & 4 with most recent booster being within six months and not within 7 days.

• Not shown symptoms of or been treated for EHV-4/1 or any other contagious disease within the past 28 days.

• Not been at a facility under quarantine for EHV-4/1 or exposed to any horses showing symptoms of EHV-4/1 within the past 28 days.

RECOMMENDED
It is recommended that your horse regular and consistent vaccination against Equine Influenza and EHV 1 & 4 with most recent booster being within 90 days.

You should be able to document your horse’s normal temperature before arrival. Please do not ship horses with elevated temperatures. It is strongly recommended that you establish a log of temperatures taken at least twice a day. If there is an elevated temperature for more than a 24 hour period, please consult your local veterinarian immediately and report the situation to management. Isolation stalls will be available either on the grounds or at a local veterinary practice if the need arises.

Every effort should be made to minimize stress and commingling of horses being shipped long distances. Extra hours on a horse van, or moving from stable to stable is the fastest way to compromise your horses and health of your neighbor’s horses.

Please check the show premium for any additional and possible mandatory requirements.
